Thai Foot Massage is an ancient form of therapeutic healing. Its roots are in India from where it was brought to Thailand over 2000 years ago by Ayurvedic doctors and Buddhist monks.
Massage is applied to the lower legs and feet using rubbing, kneading, stretching and vibration techniques. The therapist uses their thumbs, hands and a wooden acupressure tool. Thai Massage works on reflex/pressure points on the feet which correspond to various internal organs. The treatment works along energy lines, balancing the body to promote overall health, increase energy and to provide a general sense of wellbeing.
